Black Desert Resort named Utah's No 1 public access golf course by Golfweek

Black Desert Resort has been ranked the No. 1 public-access golf course in Utah in Golfweek's Best 2026 rankings, further strengthening the resort's growing reputation as one of the state's leading golf destinations.

Located in Ivins, near St George in southern Utah, Black Desert Resort topped Golfweek's latest list of the best public-access golf courses in the state.

Golfweek's annual ranking are compiled using evaluations from its nationwide panel of course raters, who assess courses against a range of criteria before awarding an overall rating.  The resulting scores are used to determine the publication's state-by-state rankings of the leading courses available for public play.

Black Desert Resort claimed the top position in Utah ahead of Sand Hollow Championship Course in Hurricane, Hideout Golf Club in Monticello and Soldier Hollow Gold Course in Midway.

The recognition adds to Black Desert Resort's profile as a golf destination and highlights the quality of publicly accessible golf available across Utah.

Golfweek's 2026 ranking also showcases a number of leading public-access courses in neighboring Nevada, including Shadow Creek in North Las Vegas, Cascata in Boulder City and Wolf Creek in Mesquite.
